Art 20

The Art 20 course consists of several art projects, which continue to explore mediums through 2- and 3-dimensional art. More in-depth encounters with art history, art movements/styles, and artists is an important aspect in learning to understand the language and the processes of art. Art 20 incorporates preliminary research and/or exploration so that the student has a better understanding of an influential artist(s) within a specific movement, or specific skills and techniques, assisting the student in having a better understanding toward a more successful outcome. Communicating through critique and discussing art is encouraged at the Art 20 level. Assessment is based on skill/technique, understanding content, creativity, use of mediums and, planning and process.
