Salutations!

The first semester of the 2023-2024 school year is well underway, and it will be my sixteenth year as a secondary English teacher, and my fifteenth year with the Rocky View School Division at Bert Church High School. I have a Bachelors Degree in Arts (English) and a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Lethbridge.

This year, I will be teaching one section of English 20-1 AP, two sections of English 20-1, two secontions of English 30-1, one section of English 30-2, and one Creative Writing option. I am excited and eager to begin the year - we have lots of great literature to read and study together - and I will endeavour to provide all students in my charge with an engaging, enriching, and entertaining exploration of English literature and language.

At the heart of my practices as a classroom teacher are three pedagogical values.

I believe that while we each have our own unique strengths and struggles, anyone can learn anything if the desire and drive to do so is present.
I believe that passion for the subject and positive relationships with students are at the heart of an engaging classroom.
