Art 30

The Art 30 course consists of several art projects, which continue to explore mediums through 2- and 3-dimensional art. More in-depth encounters with art history, art movements/styles, and artists is an important aspect in learning to understand the language and the processes of art. Art 30 incorporates preliminary research so that the student has a better understanding of an influential artist(s) within a specific movement, or specific skills and techniques, this will assist the student in having a better understanding toward a more successful outcome. This is achieved through artist research, technical exploration and project planning. Communicating through critique and discussing art is encouraged at the Art 30 level. Assessment is based on skill/technique, understanding content, creativity, use of media and, planning and process.
