Hi Everyone,
If you're like me, spring break 2020 will be unlike any you've probably experienced. As we head into our break, I want to express our gratitude as a school staff to our students and families for your support over the past 4 weeks.
The transition to at-home learning has been a team effort. Some key members of our team received unfortunate news today, as RVS had to temporarily lay-off nearly 300 support staff. At Bert Church, 13 of our support staff received notification their last day will be May 10th. We are grateful to each of them for their support of our students this year and for showing their professionalism in this turbulent time. We look forward to working with them for the weeks leading up to May 10th to see our students have success with at-home learning.
Community is defined as a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. Alternatively, it is also defined as a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
As we are unable to share the same place, our community has shone bright in online meetings, social media interactions, and well-wishes. Kudos to each of you for sharing the outlook that the challenges presented by the cancellation of classes can be overcome with a collective spirit of optimism and willingness to try something new. You're inspiring to us a staff.

Our PE teachers threw it down this week with the toilet paper hacky sack challenge. So much skill. Thanks for keeping physical fitness at the forefront and having some fun with it. Look for our next #chargerfitchallenge when we get back from break!
School spirit was on display all week long with jersey day, green shirt day to support organ donation, Throwback Thursday, and PJ day (although that one might have been redundant with at-home learning!). Thanks to our student leadership team for organizing!
2020.21 Student Course Registration
Thanks to the dedicated work of Mr. Castiglione, Mrs. Allan, and Mrs. McNevin, our course registration process can begin. This is a critical step in planning our 2020.21 school year.
