Principal's Message

This week saw 1021 students and 75 staff shift to at-home learning for the next three weeks. I applaud everyone for how quickly they have adjusted and continued their learning online. Throughout the week, we talked about maintaining the same routines we had with in-person school. Our students did an amazing job of this, as attendance accross our grades was strong. Thank you for doing this.

We have 10 school days remaining prior to our winter break, which begins on Saturday Dec 19th. I would encourage students to take their learning a week at a time and stay connected till Friday, December 18th. By doing so, they will insure they are in a strong position academically to return in January.

This coming week, families will be asked to indicate which learning method (in-person or online) they are committing to for the second semester of the school year. Please refer to the information below to make your selection.
  1. How to Select in-person or online video using School Engage in PowerSchool
  2. COVID Information - Rocky View Schools
  3. Online School Information
  4. December 3rd Parent Letter from RVS
If you have specific questions for us at the school, please reach out at 403 948 3800 or email bchurch@rockyview.ab.ca and it will be sent to the appropriate person.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

Our goal for week 1 of at-home learning was to maintain routines! Ms. Brandford is already working on our week 2 goal which is to stay connected. So fun!
Staff and students staying connected all week long through online sessions. Great to see the learning continue. Keep it up kids!
Our Chemistry students enjoyed seeing each other's faces online this week. Engagement throughout the school has been incredible with students maintaining routines and showing up for their online classes!
We are excited to be getting a resurfacing on our gym floor over the next two weeks. Work has begun and will be completed prior to the winter break. Combined with the renovation to the bathrooms, PE office, and main gym hallway, this part of the school is getting a nice redo!
Pressely was pumped to receive our second complimentary laptop from Staples here in Airdrie. Accessing technology during these times is a necessity and we are grateful to Miriah and her team at Staples for helping us out!
