Part 2 - Learning Leaders, counsellors, and teachers will host three consecutive ten-minute breakout sessions. Each breakout session will have a separate Zoom link that will be posted on our website for parents. Parents can choose which breakout sessions they would like to join.

Purpose of Zoom Breakout Sessions
English, Math, Science and Social departments will answer parent questions and share insights.
Counsellors and Learning Support teachers will provide information about their services and answer questions
Complementary course teachers will describe their programs and answer questions.
Teachers of specialized programs (CAP, English 10-1 Pre-AP, PE 10 Lacrosse, Criminology) will explain their programs and the process for applying.
2. Student Registration/Programming
March will see us transition into program planning for next year. Students will be able to take home registration planning sheets to bring back to school with course selections for next year. It is an exciting time of the year to start planning ahead!
3. Chargers in the News
Thanks to our leadership students for their initiative to donate clothes to Value Village as a fundraiser for school-wide events! Read about this and the planning for our Relay for Life here!
4. Health Protocols
Thanks to all our students and staff for adapting to changing operational plans. We anticipate an announcement over the break and are preparing for potential changes starting on Tuesday, March 1st. We will return to school on Monday, February 28th with the same health protocols currently in place. Thank you all for your continued cooperation and support.
5. Portables
The portables are getting their finishing touches and are just waiting for back-ordered windows for two of them. Our staff and students have been incredibly patient waiting for their completion and we look forward to a day when we can move in!
6. New Bathrooms!
We were thrilled to move into the new bathrooms this week as our renovation is complete. Thank you to all the RVS staff and others involved in the facelift. They are terrific.

It was great hosting our Board of Trustees and Superintendent Luterbach for lunch and a tour of the school on Tuesday. Our students served a wonderful meal and the trustees were shown a variety of learning opportunities occurring at the school!

Families will have the opportunity to explore family dynamics together by learning tips and triggers to conflict, communication skills and engaging in fun, wholesome and respectful dialogue with the support of skilled mediators and coaches. Strong connections in family relationships play an important role in lowering anxiety and depression, regulating emotions, increasing self-esteem and actually improving outcome for youth.
