Principal's Message

Another beautiful week of fall weather is behind us and we are enjoying the rhythms of school. Kids are engaging in activities both in and out of the classroom and BCHS is once again a busy place to be. Please read below for a few updates to be aware of.

1. Portable Update

Work continues to prepare for 8 new portables at BCHS. This week's progress saw welders level off the pilings and create a platform for the portables to be placed on. It is great to see the progress as we will gladly welcome the new space.

2. Classes are in full swing

A quick walkabout the school quickly demonstrated the variety of options available to our students. Kids were engaged in construction, robotics, art, sports performance, and much more. It is great to see the learning occurring in these complimentary courses!

3. National Truth and Reconciliation Day - No School, Thursday, Sep 30th

Next week, our school belonging committee has planned events leading up to the first National Truth and Reconciliation Day. Our aim is to create opportunities for students to reflect on what truth and reconciliation mean to them so that Thursday can be a day of reflection.

4. Keeping up with your child's progress

We are starting to see marks entered into PowerSchool as we head into our fourth week of school. A great way to keep up with your child's progress is to download the PowerSchool App onto your phone. If you cannot access your PowerSchool account, please contact the office.

Thank you for your continued support, have a great weekend.

Congratulations to our golfers on a great showing at zones, Our boys team finished third while our girls were represented exceptionally well by Bailee Selent and Taylor Foord. Bailee captured 2nd place while Taylor took home 3rd! Well done ladies and good luck to Bailee as she qualified for provincials which will be played this spring.
Our leadership students have planned a lot of fun spirit days this fall. Thursday was Tacky Tourist day, which may have hit a little close to home for those of us over 40. Thanks for adding a little fun to our days kids!
