Principal's Message
Good Morning,
I hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to spring break!
1. Accountability Pillar Survey
Parents and Students in gr. 10 will be participating in the Accountability Survey from Alberta Education in the weeks to come. Parents, your Random Access Code will come in the mail starting March 25th. The more parents who participate, the better the data and feedback for our school. We look forward to analyzing these results!
2. No Frills Generously Donates Hand Sanitizer to our school!
WIth an excess of supply at their store, Rob and Pam Middleditch dropped off over 800 units of sanitizer at our school for students. We are grateful for their generosity and will have it available for students if they would like to take one after spring break. The units are small and can go in backpacks for kids to take with them. Thank you Rob and Pam!
3. Leadership raises funds for our gr. 12 students!
Our leadership students organized an enjoyable fundraiser with kids playing Plinko to qualify for Bert Church Merch! When the weather cooperated, we saw many kids take part in the activity. Thanks everyone for raising funds for our grad class!
 
4. Band has Bacon (and Perogies)
The BCHS Music Program is once again fundraising using bacon sales! The details are:
- $70/box ($10/box profit for the band program)
- End the Sale on April 14th
- Need to get our numbers into PrePak by the end of the day April 15th.
- DELIVERY DATE is April 27th (pick-up is between 4pm and 7pm)
- Orders can be made on School Cash!

5. COVID-19 Update
We are grateful that Semester 2 has not seen a known case reported in our school yet. This has allowed many things to happen, including continuity of learning for all of our S2 classes as well as important course registration and planning for 2021.22.
We will be notifying potential close contacts over spring break in the event of a reported case at the school. Notification will occur between 9AM and 12 PM. I hope not to have to contact anyone, but I want you to be aware that there could be reporting in the next 10 days.
